Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Agency is seeking current small business owners to shape the future of AI by providing practical expertise for training large-scale language models. The role involves engaging with AI models to evaluate their outputs and improve their applicability for Very Small Business owners.
Responsibilities
- Engage the model with realistic small business scenarios and operational challenges
- Evaluate outputs related to budgeting, pricing, marketing strategy, hiring decisions, vendor management, customer communications, and basic compliance considerations
- Assess whether responses are practical and aligned with how Very Small Businesses actually operate
- Capture reproducible error traces
- Provide structured feedback to improve prompts, evaluation criteria, and real-world applicability
- Identify where models oversimplify trade-offs or misunderstand resource constraints common to VSB environments
Skills
- Current small business owner or co-owner
- Practical expertise in small business operations
- Ability to engage with AI models using realistic small business scenarios
- Experience evaluating outputs related to budgeting, pricing, marketing strategy, hiring decisions, vendor management, customer communications, and basic compliance considerations
- Ability to assess whether responses are practical and aligned with how Very Small Businesses operate
- Ability to capture reproducible error traces
- Ability to provide structured feedback to improve prompts, evaluation criteria, and real-world applicability
- Clear, metacognitive communication skills
- Ability to articulate how and why decisions are made in a real business context
- Direct experience owning or co-owning a small business
- Experience managing operations, finances, marketing, staffing, or growth strategy
- Entry-level business owners as well as seasoned entrepreneurs
