Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DeNOVO Solutions, LLC is a Minority-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business dedicated to providing technical and professional services in the Intelligence Community. They are seeking an Engineer / Scientist 1 to support engineering and technical efforts related to software and data services, contributing to Agile development and assisting in the implementation and testing of software capabilities in secure cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Support engineering and technical activities related to software systems and services
- Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of applications, tools, and services
- Support integration of software components, data services, and system interfaces
- Participate in Agile Scrum activities including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Contribute to development of technical documentation and engineering artifacts
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and technical teams to support mission requirements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
- 0–3 years of relevant professional experience
- Certified ScrumMaster Certification recognized by Scrum Alliance
- Knowledge of engineering or scientific principles applicable to software, systems, or data environments
- Ability to work in a collaborative technical team environment
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies is beneficial: Backend development: Node.js, C++, Golang, React and TypeScript / JavaScript, RESTful APIs or GraphQL, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, Version control using Git, Container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes, Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB), Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, Scripting languages including Python or Bash, Linux operating systems, Microservice architecture
- Exposure to cloud-native application development
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture
- Understanding of secure software development practices
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Exposure to observability tools such as Grafana or Jaeger
- DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) for Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II roles
