The Indirect Procurement Specialist will manage the procurement of indirect goods and services, involving sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management to ensure optimal value for the organization. Responsibilities • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories such as IT, operations, capital, professional services, facilities management, marketing, and HR services with a focus on capital equipment and construction • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends that may impact supply and pricing • Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including document preparation, bid analysis, and supplier selection • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and service level agreements • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular business reviews to ensure performance metrics are met • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with the organization's procurement strategy • Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process to increase efficiency and effectiveness • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and prepare reports for management review • Support team members sharing knowledge and best practices Skills • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years or master's degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management; in lieu of a degree, 8 years of related experience • A degree or master's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field • Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract law, and supplier management • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with a track record of achieving cost savings and service improvements • Proficient with procurement software systems and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines Benefits • Health and disability insurance • 401(k) match • Flexible spending accounts • EAP • Education assistance • Parental leave • Paid time off • Company-paid holidays Company Overview • L3Harris Technologies provides platform management system solutions for armed forces.
