The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CODAC Health, Recovery & Wellness, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting department. The role involves performing various duties such as month end close activities, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing financial reports to support the Controller with year-end duties and audits. Responsibilities • Various journal entries (recurring, accruals, prepaid amort, payroll, depreciation, revenue, adjusting and correcting entries etc.) • Bank reconciliations • Recording fixed asset additions and disposals • Prepares a consolidated profit and loss statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows and other interim financial reports • Maintains clean General Ledger accounts and prepares reconciliations and supporting schedules monthly • Financial audit and preparation of audit schedules and analysis • Provide various information requests and supporting schedules for corporate tax returns • State sales/use tax exemption filing • Federal indirect bolthires rate proposal • Real and personal property tax exemptions • Annual liability insurance renewal • Prepares various monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports • Maintains process documentation and instructions for essential duties and responsibilities • Cross trained to perform other finance functions as needed due to absences and other needs • Performs other related activities in accordance with agency growth and changes Skills • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related Field or related equivalent experience • 3 years of General Ledger Accounting experience, including month end and year-end close related to financial accounting department activities • Valid Arizona Driver's license, proof of current insurance and willingness to use personal vehicle • Intermediate proficiency using computers • Not for profit experience • Abila (MIP) accounting software experience Company Overview • CODAC provides a full continuum of integrated care for adults living with mental illness, substance use disorders, and trauma in Pima County, Arizona.
