Key Responsibilities
Accurately transcribe audio and video recordings into text while maintaining high spelling, grammar, and punctuation standards.
- Identify speaker changes, timestamps, and background noise indicators where necessary.
- Adhere to client-specific guidelines, including formatting, verbatim transcription, and time-coding.
- Work with various industries such as business, legal, medical, academic, and media transcription.
- Conduct basic research to ensure correct spelling of names, terminology, and technical jargon.
- Meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality and error-free transcripts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Fluent in English (both written and spoken) with excellent grammar and punctuation.
Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Strong listening and comprehension skills, with the ability to handle different accents and audio quality levels.
- Experience with transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Otter.ai, Descript, Rev, or similar tools).
- Ability to handle confidential information and follow data privacy guidelines.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Experience in verbatim, non-verbatim, or time-coded transcription is a plus.
Experience
Entry-level to experienced professionals are encouraged to apply.
