As a freelance User Experience Researcher (UXR), you will drive UX Research excellence by understanding client objectives and collaborating with a cross-functional team to execute qualitative studies. Responsibilities • End-to-end Research: Take ownership of all phases of end-to-end research projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Design and execute research methodologies tailored to project goals and objectives • Project Ownership: Lead, manage, and oversee all aspects of assigned research projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and as expected • Collaborative Analysis: Collaborate with other researchers on international projects in order to analyze data, synthesize insights, and develop actionable recommendations. Able to conduct analysis based on the notes/research of another researcher in the local language. Potential to work with and collaborate with international moderators • Client Communication: Effectively communicate research findings and recommendations in clear, concise, and compelling formats. Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations to inform decision-making Skills • 4+ years of experience in previous User Experience Research roles • Ability to run a study from end to end, including but not limited to preparing a research plan, survey development & distribution, data collection & analysis and presenting findings to clients • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners • Excellent interpersonal skills in relation to communication, presentation, and client communication • Experience working with international markets for research • Previous experience working in a UX agency setting • Previous experience working in a consulting role with clients (e.g., Business/management consulting, UX consulting) • Bilingual in Japanese • Experience with research and design tools like Qualtrics, Lookback, Figma, etc Company Overview • Applause is a crowd-sourced digital quality testing enabling companies to deliver digital experiences to their customers.
