Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Solar Ear is a global social enterprise focused on expanding access to hearing health in underserved communities. They are seeking a public health expert or audiologist to provide strategic advice on demographic data collection to ensure the dataset from hearing tests is meaningful and actionable for public health and hearing health sectors.
- Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on which demographic indicators are most important to collect
- Help determine which core variables should accompany hearing test data (e.g., age, gender, location, socioeconomic indicators)
- Advise on whether additional health or contextual indicators should be included
- Share relevant public health or audiology best practices in hearing data collection
- Offer feedback on how to structure the dataset so it is useful to the broader hearing health sector
- Skills
- Experience in Audiology
- Experience in Public health or epidemiology
- Experience in Hearing health research
- Experience in Health survey design or demographic indicators
- Experience in Global health or disability data
- Relevant expertise for academic researchers, clinicians, PhD students, or public health professionals
