Position: Remote Volunteer Social Media Strategist for African Art

Afrikan Gallery is a vibrant platform dedicated to showcasing the work of talented African photographers and visual artists. Our mission is to amplify African stories through art and digital engagement. As we expand, we’re looking for a passionate Volunteer
Social Media Specialist to join our creative communications team and help grow our online community.
- As a VolunteerSocial Media Specialist, you will:
- Manage and grow our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, etc.)
- Create engaging, on-brand content (posts, stories, videos, etc.)
- Analyze engagement data and suggest improvements
- Stay ahead of digital trends and apply them creatively
- Collaborate with artists, photographers, and our internal team to showcase their work What We’re Looking For
- Minimum Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms
- Excellent communication skills (written and visual)
- Analytical and creative problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with content creation and scheduling tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, Buffer, etc.)
- Passion for African art, photography, and storytelling
- Bonus Points If You:
- Have experience running social media for a brand or organization
- Understand basic metrics (engagement rate, CTR, reach, etc.)
- Are fluent in French or Portuguese (a plus, not mandatory) What You’ll Gain
