Job Description
Research Assistant for Facebook Groups Needed.
We are a hyperlocal parenting platform sharing events and resources for local families.
I’m looking for a detail-oriented research assistant to analyze mom Facebook groups within our region and extract real questions, trends, and recommendations from local moms — then organize them into structured content ideas for our website .
This is NOT a copy/paste job. You will be identifying patterns and summarizing insights.
Your Responsibilities:
- Review posts inside specific Facebook groups (you will join the group)
- Identify repeated or high-interest questions
- Capture the exact wording people use when asking questions
- Track how often similar questions appear
- Summarize key recommendations from comments (no copying names or personal info)
- Organize everything into a clean Google Sheet.
What You’ll Be Looking For:
Topics include:
- Places to have rehearsal dinners
- Birthday party venues or local bartenders for a private party
- Camps, classes, and activities
- Kid-friendly restaurants
- Local services (pediatricians, dentists, etc.)
- Tips:
- Avoid Facebook posts with thin content. The more information, the better for an informative post. *Avoid overly vague topics.
⸻
Output Format (Google Sheet):
Each entry should include:
- Question/topic with link to post
- Category
- Exact phrasing used "Does anyone know where I can get Corn Beef Hash"
- Frequency (how often it appears)
- Summary of common answers/recommendations
- Suggested blog post title (example: “10 Indoor Places for Toddlers on the Treasure Coast”)
⸻
Important Guidelines:
- DO NOT copy/paste posts or comments directly
- DO NOT include names or personal details
- Everything must be summarized and rewritten
- Focus on patterns, not individual posts
⸻
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong English writing and summarization skills
- Experience with research, content, or social media trends
- Familiar with Facebook groups
- Bonus: Experience in parenting, local directories, or SEO
⸻
Project Details:
- 3 hours per week/ 2 blog posts per week.
- Long-term opportunity if it’s a good fit
- Must be organized and responsive
⸻
To Apply:
Please include:
1. A short example of how you would turn this question into a blog idea:
“It's going to rain all week, any indoor places for toddlers around here?”
2. Any similar research or content work you’ve done
