About the position
The Retail Branch Assistant at Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) plays a crucial role in supporting the branch manager and ensuring smooth branch operations with a focus on retail sales. This position involves administrative tasks, customer service, and assisting in achieving branch sales goals while maintaining compliance with banking regulations.
Responsibilities
Ā Assist the branch manager with managing branch operations focusing on retail sales aspects.

Ā Work with the branch sales team to support achieving established branch sales goals through customer relationship management.

Ā Prepare and maintain loan files and supporting documents as needed.
,
Ā Attend mortgage closings and handle other lending responsibilities.
,
Ā Provide administrative support to the Branch Manager, including producing reports and managing record keeping.
,
Ā Assist branch staff with daily operations, including approving/rejecting non-standard transactions and resolving customer complaints.

Ā Coordinate security measures such as daily opening and closing of the branch and alarm testing.

Ā Function as a teller or customer service representative as needed.
,
Ā Maintain compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the position.
Requirements
Ā Associate's Degree in Finance or Business or equivalent training preferred.

Ā Training in sales is preferred.
,
Ā Knowledge of the features and benefits of the bank's consumer deposit and loan products and services is required.

Ā Five years of branch experience with at least three years as a CSR/Senior Teller is normally required.

Ā Excellent customer service, communication, and analytical skills are essential.

Ā Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Ā Working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures.
Nice-to-haves
