- What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in developing the internal legal framework and amending relevant administrative instructions and policies
- Conduct research into international administrative law case law for addressing administrative and disciplinary cases
- Draft responses to appeals filed in the internal justice system
- Provide legal advice on the interpretation and application of GCF’s regulatory framework
- Engage and coordinate with assigned lawyers and advise Secretariat departments on legal issues
- What is Required (Qualifications):
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law; a first level degree with additional qualifying work experience may be accepted
- Qualification to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- Minimum of 13 years of relevant work experience in public international law, particularly international administrative law
- Experience in employment relations, dispute resolution, litigation, administrative law, and contract law
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage
- How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience advising senior management in an international organization
- Familiarity with human resources regulations and rules in an international context
- Previous work with developing countries or international financial institutions
