Job Description
We already have an existing onboarding process for our SaaS product, including tutorials and guides to help users subscribe and get started, but we've never put any focus on it and know itβs bad. Our SaaS is tailored for e-commerce users β many are complete noobs, but our tool is very specific, so even pros struggle to unlock its full potential. We're looking for an experienced specialist to review, optimize, and simplify it to the absolute maximum β making it idiot-proof. The focus is on a self-service experience that's so straightforward that even complete beginners can complete it with just a few clicks, without any open questions before or after purchase.
No live calls or complex interactions required for users. We will schedule an initial call with you to explain what our tool does, its key features, why it's challenging for both noobs and pros, and the main reasons why most users cancel (e.g., confusion during onboarding leading to frustration and churn). Key Responsibilities: Analyze our current onboarding setup and identify areas for improvement. Simplify the entire process to make it as easy as possible: Reduce steps, minimize text, use intuitive visuals, and ensure everything can be completed with just a few clicks.
Enhance pre-purchase clarity: Refine sign-up flows so potential users quickly understand features, pricing, and value. Optimize post-purchase onboarding: Streamline account setup, verification, and initial use to eliminate confusion and open questions. Make the experience user-centric, mobile-friendly, and drop-off-proof β prioritize simplicity over features. Test and iterate for higher conversion rates, user satisfaction, and reduced support needs. Requirements: Proven experience in SaaS onboarding optimization, especially simplifying complex processes without tools like Intercom, Userpilot, Appcues, or similar.
Expertise in creating and refining tutorials, guides, and interactive content (e.g., using Notion, Loom for videos, or in-app builders). Strong UX/UI skills focused on minimalism and ease-of-use. Portfolio or examples of projects where you simplified onboarding flows (please share links in your proposal). Project Details:
This is a fixed-price or hourly project, depending on scope. Estimated timeline: 1 week, starting with a review of our current system. We'll kick off with a call where I'll explain the tool's capabilities, user pain points, and cancellation reasons in detail.
