Job Description

The Guitar Center Company is a leading retailer in the music industry, seeking a Sales Audit Coordinator to support store personnel in resolving sales transaction issues. This role involves assisting with banking discrepancies, conducting research, and preparing journal entries related to retail operations.

Responsibilities

Answer phone calls from the group line and assist store personnel with identifying issues as well as conducting research and supply solutions to the related issue
Assist in gift card discrepancies and balance inquiries
Research and respond to all emails from store personnel
Research and respond to chargebacks and sales ticket retrievals
Various retail location reconciliations including bank accounts, incoming wire transfers, cash tills, and cash over/short
Store check and deposit review
Prepare journal entries related to retail store's cash over/short, bad debt, and checkbook
Additional duties as assigned

Skills

High School Diploma or GED required
1 year of relevant work experience
Novice understanding of online retail transactions
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
Intermediate data entry and keyboard skills, including accurate ten key by touch
Ability to perform tasks as directed and be able to think and work independently
Effective communication skills both written and verbal and be able to work well with other in a team environment
Passion for providing excellent service
Positive and proactive approach to tasks and working on a team
Extraordinary time management and organizational skills
Ability to demonstrate company standards
Capacity to give regular and clear feedback to team
Ability to provide and receive constructive criticism
Capacity to multitask in order to meet simultaneous demands
