Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position reports to the Lead Worship Pastor. The Campus Worship Director is responsible for oversight of weekend worship team, leading, and scheduling at the Sandy Campus. They also assist the Lead Worship Pastor in strategizing and building the worship
culture at Abundant Life Church with an emphasis at the Sandy Campus. This includes relational connection with the Sandy campus team, along with coaching, recruiting, and developing volunteers.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrates a growing, positive relationship as a Christ follower

- Is warm, friendly, and professional on the phone and in person
- Is able to use discernment to identify sensitive or confidential information
- Has good working knowledge of programs such as Word, Outlook, and Planning Center
- Gives attention to detail; good organization skills, ability to prioritize, works well under pressure, and maintains confidential information in a discreet manner.
- Is able to oversee ministry volunteers in a gracious manner.
- Is able to communicate music direction to band and worship leaders
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead worship at the Sandy Campus, including midweek rehearsal
- Collaborate and assist with set planning, including scheduling for weekend services, song entry in Planning Center, and Multitracks Playback set-up for tracks at Sandy Campus
- Coordinate with Campus Pastor in planning weekend worship service at Sandy Campus (teams, smooth flow, standards, and coordination with campus pastor)
- Strategize and invest in building the worship community, including recruiting and developing volunteers
- Collaborate and assist with creative planning and execution of Worship Team Gathering and training events
- Facilitate the onboarding experience for all new vocal team members; this includes introducing team resources, shadowing experience, and coaching
- Weekly meeting with Lead Worship Pastor
- Bi-weekly meeting with Sandy campus team
- Attend and help lead bi-weekly staff chapels
- Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
- GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Has read, understands, and agrees to follow the Abundant Life Church policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Participates in monthly staff trainings, meetings, and events as required by the supervisor
- Provides excellent customer service to fellow staff, the church body, volunteers, and the community
