SAP BODS Data Migration Specialist Lead | Remote Work | Duration: 12+ Months | (W2)
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration professional with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Data Services (BODS) to support large-scale SAP transformation and migration programs. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data migration activities, covering both Master and Transactional data objects.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute end-to-end SAP data migration activities using SAP Data Services (BODS)
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL jobs in SAP BODS for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Handle migration of Master Data (e.g., Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance master data)
- Handle migration of Transactional Data (e.g., Open AR/AP, GL balances, Sales orders, Purchase orders, Inventory, etc.)
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and error handling
- Work closely with functional teams to understand data requirements and mapping logic
- Prepare and execute mock migrations, trial loads, and cutover activities
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with business rules
- Support S/4HANA or ECC migration projects
- Create and maintain data migration documentation, mapping sheets, and load reports
- Guide junior consultants and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for data migration
- Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in SAP Data Services (BODS) Must
- Strong experience in SAP Data Migration Must
- Hands-on experience migrating both Master and Transactional data objects Must
- Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data transformation logic
- Experience working in large SAP implementation or transformation projects
- Strong SQL knowledge and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Good to Have:
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA data migration
- Knowledge of LTMC, LSMW, Migration Cockpit
- Experience in multiple mock runs and cutover planning
- Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks
