Vision Bioenergy Oilseeds (VBO) is a forward-thinking agricultural joint venture dedicated to developing, growing, and marketing high-quality oilseed oils for biofuel production, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future. With a state-of-the-art research & development center and processing facility in Nampa, Idaho, we are committed to innovation and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team, working remotely in the North Denver, Colorado area or in a hybrid capacity in Nampa, Idaho. This position is not eligible for relocation. Key Responsibilities: β’ Comprehensively support all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations for the monthly, quarterly, or annual closing. β’ Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.). β’ Own all Accounts Receivable activities by posting payments, invoices, reconciling customer accounts, and preparing related KPIs and analysis. β’ Actively partner with the business units, including tasks such as training on accounting policies and procedures. β’ Establish and maintain internal controls. β’ Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). β’ Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts, where necessary. β’ Analyze and report cost variances. β’ Utilize accounting system to facilitate processes and maintain records. β’ Maintain confidentiality of financial information. Skills and Qualifications: β’ Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Finance. β’ 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance. β’ Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations. β’ Exceptional knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.). β’ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. β’ Proficient in MS Office, advanced Excel knowledge, accounting software (Netsuite a plus). β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. β’ Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. β’ Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively. β’ High attention to detail with strong organizational skills. β’ Adaptable, flexible, and able to perform in time-sensitive environments. β’ Ability to troubleshoot issues and improve processes for efficiency. β’ Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
