Blue Cross Life is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to play a key role in strengthening our quantitative risk management capabilities and supporting informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. This role offers meaningful ownership of critical actuarial risk models, exposure to senior leadership and the Board, and the opportunity to influence how risk is measured, managed, and communicated across the company. The role As a member of the Risk Management team, you will apply advanced actuarial analysis and modeling to support quarterly stress testing, the annual ORSA process, and ongoing risk reporting. You will also contribute to long-term initiatives, modernize models and processes, and provide actionable insights that help shape corporate risk strategy. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced actuarial professional looking to apply technical expertise in a highly visible, strategic role. Key responsibilities Lead the stress testing program, including model development, maintenance, execution, assumption updates, and reporting to management and the Board Own annual ORSA activities, including the development, maintenance, and execution of ORSA models, and support preparation of the ORSA Report Develop, maintain, and enhance risk and liquidity models Compile and report quarterly risk metrics Build new models to strengthen risk quantification and analytics Support risk frameworks, policies, and enterprise risk reporting Facilitate risk identification and assessment and monitor emerging risks Establish methodologies for calculating and reporting GHG emissions What you bring Degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science Minimum 5 years of relevant experience ASA / ACIA, actively pursuing FSA / FCIA Knowledge of CIA professional standards (life & disability) Working knowledge of IFRS 17 Advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA and Python Strong actuarial, insurance, and statistical fundamentals Demonstrated experience building and maintaining risk models Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail English is requirement, written and verbal, to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders Assets SQL and data warehouse reporting experience Knowledge of AXIS and group insurance products Bilingual in English and French Pay Range $91,831 - $96,423 #CBM1 This posting is for an existing vacancy within our organization / Ce poste est actuellement vacant au sein de notre organisation.
