We are looking for an experienced Sr. Auditor, FinOps to contribute to the ongoing development of the Internal Audit function and to Affirm’s efforts to achieve compliance with requirements associated with its business objectives.
The Sr. Auditor, FinOps will directly assist the Sr. Manager of FinOps Audit and the full department with carrying out the annual audit plan and observation follow-bolthires to impact and influence positive business outcomes! What you'll do: • Collaborate with the Vertical Leads and IA Partners to assist in performing the various stages of an Internal Audit project, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting. • Complete specific areas of an audit project performing audit work using our standard audit methodology to evaluate risk, identify control objectives, and verify the extent to which Affirm’s process, controls, and systems are operating as intended.
• Assist and be an individual contributor for IA project documents, including scoping document, narratives, flowcharts, testing workpapers, etc. for operational and technology and compliance audit projects. • Prepare and complete detailed programs for operational audits, including IT support of operational audits to evaluate efficiency, effectiveness and alignment with internal policies, procedures, regulations, and industry standards. • Evaluate observation validation (remediation) plans and document results which are subject to internal review.
• Collaborate with management and staff to acquire an understanding of relevant risks, controls, and processes. • Assist in the preparation for IA program risk assessment, planning, and audit plan development. • Operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, as well as highly capable of carrying out work with adequate mentorship. • Provide detailed project status updates in a time-bound manner • Leverage queries, perform data analytics and continuous auditing under the mentorship of the Lead Auditor.
What we look for: • 3-5 years of professional experience in internal or external IT audit and interest to use these skills within operations and finance. • A Bachelor’s degree from preferably in a relevant field of study (i.e., Accounting Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Accounting, Finance, etc.) • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC), etc.
• Ability to understand sophisticated business or IT processes and summarize and document in a narrative and workflow format. • Excellent project/task management and prioritization skills. • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills • Technical experience in one or more of the following fields: information security, data warehouses, python, SQL, or AWS is a plus. • Experience in FinTech, Financial Services, Retail, SaaS, or technology-related companies is highly preferred.

Remote Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company! The majority of our roles are remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada (with the exception of the U.S. Territories, Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories) unless the job indicates a different global location. Employees in remote roles have the option of working remotely or from an Affirm office in their country of hire, and may occasionally travel to an Affirm office or elsewhere for required meetings or team-building events.
