Job Description
Pay: $95,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
Job Title: Senior Blockchain Systems Engineer — Smart Contracts, Settlement & Tokenization
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Job Type: Contract
Job Summary
Accorria is building a trust layer for high-value transactions. We generate tamper-evident data packets (facts + evidence hashes + audit trail) and enable escrow-style settlement workflows using smart contracts with optional tokenization.
- You will build the blockchain + smart contract layer that powers:
- Verifiable packet systems (hashes + audit trails; no raw PII on-chain)
- Escrow / settlement contracts (finite-state machine + event validation)
- Agreement/receipt-style tokenization (ERC-3525 required)
- Backend ↔ chain integration (FastAPI + cloud + indexers/listeners)
This is not token hype. It must be demoable, auditable, and security-minded.
- Qualifications (Required)
- 3–7+ years building blockchain + backend systems (or equivalent shipped work)
- Strong proficiency in Solidity and EVM-compatible networks
- Proven experience shipping multi-step workflow / state-machine contracts (escrow, settlement, ordering constraints)
- Strong smart contract security discipline:
- access control, reentrancy defenses, signature verification, replay prevention
- Strong integration experience:
- event listeners/indexers, contract interaction libraries (ethers.js/viem/web3.js), API integration
- Strong judgment around sensitive data handling:
- no raw PII on-chain; hashes/references only
- Token standards knowledge (Required):
- ERC-3525 (required)
- ERC-20 / ERC-721 / ERC-1155 (required familiarity)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment with milestone-based outcomes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Preferred Skills (Nice to have)
- Account Abstraction / relayers / gas abstraction (wallet-friendly UX patterns)
- Deterministic JSON + hashing patterns (canonicalization, redaction, verifiable exports)
- Gas optimization and storage pattern discipline
- Prior ownership of contract architecture end-to-end (spec → build → test → ship)
- Audit experience or audit-ready engineering habits
- Responsibilities
- Design and implement Solidity smart contracts for escrow-style settlement workflows, including:
- strict state/event ordering and required prior events
- signer authenticity + replay protection
- double-execution prevention and secure state transitions
- dispute/refund/failure handling
- Implement a hash-first architecture:
- keep sensitive documents/data off-chain
- store only hashes/references on-chain
- produce clean verification trails (timeline + checksums)
- Define and implement agreement/receipt-style tokenization using ERC-3525
- Build contract integration with backend services (FastAPI + cloud):
- event listeners/indexing strategy
- APIs/hooks for submit/verify/query history
- signing flows that support wallet-friendly UX where appropriate
- Maintain a strong security posture:
- invariants, tests, audit-ready patterns
- Write clean documentation + a short runbook (how to demo, verify, troubleshoot)
- Compensation & Engagement
- Contract (1099)
- $95,000 – $145,000 per year (contract equivalent; depends on scope and milestones)
- Remote (U.S.-based)
- Milestone-based contract with an equity component; cash payout timing may be milestone-dependent as we finalize our current raise
- Long-term engagement possible based on delivery
- Why Work With Accorria
- Build foundational smart-contract infrastructure for a real high-value transaction platform
- Work on verification + settlement primitives (not “token hype”)
- Define an agreement-first token model that supports compliance-heavy markets
- Fully remote, flexible schedule
- High ownership and direct influence on core architecture
