Summary:
We are seeking a highly consultative Senior Brand Strategist to provide coverage during a medical leave. This role partners closely with internal Lines of Business (LOBs) to develop and implement brandâaligned strategies that bring customer and brand insights into the decisionâmaking process. This is not a traditional marketing execution roleâit is a strategic consulting role embedded with the business.
The ideal candidate understands how to uncover business needs, translate those needs into brandâaligned strategies, and shape how products and services are positioned in the market. This role replaces a Senior Lead Marketing Consultant, and workstreams are already underway. The incoming strategist will step into businessâasâusual activities and continue driving strategic deliverables forward.
- Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to LOBs, guiding them through brandâaligned thinking and ensuring customer and brand insights are integrated into all strategy development.
- Lead development of Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) - Positioning statements and messaging architecture. Strategic narrative and rationale for positioning. Product and service naming in partnership with the Naming Center of Excellence.
- Facilitate working sessions to uncover business needs, clarify goals, and define strategic approaches.
- Evaluate business challenges and translate them into brandâaligned strategic frameworks.
- Work closely with crossâfunctional partners to implement agreedâupon strategies.
- Quickly onboard into ongoing workstreams and maintain momentum with existing partners.
- Represent the brand strategy function in strategic discussions with business leaders.
- Qualifications:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Extensive expertise in brand strategy, including the development of customer value propositions (CVPs), messaging frameworks, brand positioning, and naming systems.
- Demonstrated consultative experience, ideally serving as a strategic partner embedded within business teams.
- Strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to:
- Ask insightful, targeted questions
- Diagnose complex business challenges
- Build clear, actionable strategic recommendations
- Communicate persuasively with senior executives
- Background as a brand consultant or senior strategist, rather than a traditional marketing execution role.
- Ability to think holistically, considering customer insights, market dynamics, and brand implications to guidelines of business in making informed decisions.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteâPowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teamsâat a senior consultant level.
- Familiarity with AIâbased tools (preferred).
- Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problemâsolving abilities. (preferred)
- Strong understanding of enterpriseâlevel brand frameworks, methodologies, and tools. (preferred)
- Ability to operate effectively within ambiguous or evolving business environments. (preferred)
- Demonstrated skill in guiding crossâfunctional teams toward brandâaligned decisions. (preferred)
