Due to new business growth, we are seeking two Senior Broadcast Media Buyers.
The Senior Broadcast Media Buyer negotiates and implements broadcast buys, enters information into tracking system, maintains contracts, and performs post-analysis. This will also include internal collaboration, presentation to clients, and maintaining positive industry relationships. Senior Broadcast Buyer will support Broadcast Manager on platform level initiatives and media negotiations. This role is responsible for keeping teams/department abreast of developments in broadcast industry.
Day to day responsibilities for the Sr Broadcast Buyer include but are not limited to:
â˘Local broadcast negotiationsâ˘Understands principles of local radio and television negotiationsâ˘Experience developing market expertise in large and small DMAsâ˘Cultivates relationships with vendors and other outside entitiesâ˘Understands client objectives, resources, and pros/cons of approaches to address themâ˘Works closely with media strategy team on broadcast planning ratesâ˘Fulfills role on team seamlessly, working with accuracy and urgencyâ˘Demonstrates initiative to understand, master, and implement innovative ideas⢠Cross Platform Stewardshipâ˘Maintains buying activity on Media Ocean OXâ˘Evaluates and accepts makegoodsâ˘Reconciles monthly invoices⢠Team playerâ˘Maintains a professional, can-do attitudeat all timesâ˘Demonstrates initiative and ability to take directionâ˘Maintains effective communication, responding quickly and accuratelyRequired Skills:
1.Education:â˘A bachelorâs degree in marketing, advertising, or aclosely-relatedfield. 2.Skills and Experience:⢠3-4 years minimum in media department, current title Buyer or greater.â˘Experience with broadcast media buying (national and local).â˘Experience managing multiple clients, working with multiple departmental teamsâ˘Experience with other (Digital) video formats FEP, OTT, VOD etc. preferredâ˘Experience with brand, DRTV, and other buying forms a plusâ˘Proven passion, drive and active knowledge for new and emerging media 3.Competencies (characteristics and work style):â˘Strong collaboration skillsâ˘Authentic team player â elevating team before selfâ˘Active listenerâ˘Results-oriented with a commitment to accountabilityâ˘Adaptable to changeâ˘Approachableâ˘Strong time management skillsThe salary range for this position is listed below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to budget, relevant experience, qualifications, and tenure in similar roles. Consideration may also be given to internal salary data for current or former employees in the same or similar positions.
Salary Range: $65,000-75,000 annually
