Job Summary:
As a Senior Data Engineer at CVS Health, you will work closely with various business groups and cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that drive business insights and inform decision-making. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, ETL processes, and database systems, as well as collaborating with data scientists to integrate models and algorithms into automated processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale data architectures and pipelines to organize, collect, and normalize data
- Develop ETL processes, database systems, and tools for real-time and offline analytical processing
- Collaborate with data science teams to integrate models and algorithms into automated processes
- Work with Cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and experience with data warehousing and ETL
- Utilize strong programming skills in Python or other relevant languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
- Develop data stores and data models to support Information Science and other internal clients
- Analyze current data technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in Information Engineering
- 2+ years of experience with SQL
- 2+ years of experience with Python
- Experience with Cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Healthcare industry experience
