Senior Data Science Analyst (Remote) - $25/Hour

Join Wayfair's innovative Search and Recommendations Analytics team as a Senior Data Science Analyst, where you'll leverage large datasets to inform our product roadmap and drive business growth. Collaborate with a high-performing team of engineers, machine learning engineers/data scientists, and product managers to develop and implement cutting-edge recommendation algorithms and strategies.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a motivated and solution-oriented Senior Data Science Analyst to join our team. As a key member, you'll design, run, and analyze A/B tests, develop new testing and evaluation methodologies, and create KPI reporting and monitoring tools. You'll also conduct exploratory data analysis to generate new insights and inform our product advice roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Run open-ended exploratory data analysis to identify new ideas and opportunities


• Design and run A/B tests of new recommendation algorithms


• Proactively monitor our recommendation models to identify potential issues, determine root causes, and resolve them


• Build new tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness


• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, engineering, and machine learning teams


• Communicate key insights and recommendations to executive leaders across the organization

Requirements:

• 1.5+ years of professional experience in an analytical role


• Analytics or Data Science experience with e-commerce organizations is a strong plus


• In-depth experience with SQL, Python, and Python tools (Jupyter notebooks, functions, pandas, sklearn, matplotlib, etc.)


• Experience with experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business decision-making


• Knowledge and experience with machine learning algorithms/techniques (decision trees, random forest, deep learning, etc.)


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative attitude


• Ability to collaborate and proactively communicate with stakeholders


• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
