Project Overview I’m developing a hardware-rooted security system that significantly reduces attack surface in cyber-physical systems by eliminating dependence on stored digital secrets and human-mediated authentication. The work is IP-driven, focused on architecture, modeling, and proof-of-concept prototyping. This is not a consumer app or web project. I’m seeking experienced engineers to help develop: Technical system documentation System modeling / simulation A lab-grade proof-of-concept prototype This is a tightly scoped engagement with clear deliverables. Scope of Work 1️⃣ System Architecture & Technical Documentation Define a hardware-rooted authentication model Identify and minimize attack surfaces (physical, human, digital) Design challenge-response and enrollment workflows Document threat models and failure modes Produce professional technical documentation suitable for patenting and licensing discussions Deliverable: Architecture & security documentation (diagrams + written spec) 2️⃣ System Modeling / Simulation Model entropy-based hardware identity behavior Simulate authentication flows and attack resistance Demonstrate non-replayability and non-emulatability Provide clear explanation of assumptions and limits Deliverable: Simulation model (MATLAB / Simulink or equivalent) + explanation 3️⃣ Proof-of-Concept Prototype (Non-Production) Implement a minimal hardware-rooted identity demo MCU or dev board acceptable No manufacturing or automotive qualification required Focus on demonstrating security properties, not polish Deliverable: Working lab-grade demo + README Required Experience You should have real experience in at least one of: Embedded systems & firmware Hardware security / cryptography Secure authentication architectures Cyber-physical systems MATLAB / Simulink modeling Senior-level experience strongly preferred. Engagement Details Duration: 6–12 weeks Engagement: Contract / milestone-based Budget: Competitive, based on experience Remote OK NDA required before technical disclosure High performers may be retained for future phases.
