Senior Global Privacy and AI Governance Specialist Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Global Privacy Office (GPO), a subset of Boeing Law & Compliance, is seeking a Senior Global Privacy and AI Governance Specialist to support the operational development and execution of Boeing's end-to-end Global Privacy and AI Governance compliance lifecycle. This role is a senior position that reports to the Senior Leader, Global Privacy and AI Governance, and partners closely with Boeing's Responsible AI Program leaders and cross-functional teams, with a distinct focus on privacy-by-design, AI Risk Assessments, and lifecycle governance design, development, and execution. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on experience conducting global privacy assessments, operationalizing AI governance, and embedding compliance by design into complex, regulated environments. This person must exercise a high level of strategic judgment, autonomy, and accountability, while also collaborating effectively across a globally situated team to ensure that risk is identified, mitigated and minimized appropriately. This role is critical to translating strategy, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks into repeatable, auditable, and scalable operational practices. AI Governance Operations & Lifecycle Execution • Execute and support the end-to-end data and AI governance lifecycles, including intake, triage, risk classification, assessment, control validation, and ongoing monitoring of AI-enabled systems. • Perform AI risk and compliance assessments aligned to all applicable global regulations and frameworks, including the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC standards, and internal Boeing policies. • Partner with engineering, data, cybersecurity, legal, and product teams to embed data and AI governance controls, documentation, and review checkpoints into system development and deployment workflows. • Support development and maintenance of AI governance artifacts, including risk registers, inventories, assessment outputs, documentation standards, and evidence required for audit and regulatory readiness. • Assist with the operationalization of AI governance tooling and workflows, including assessment logic, workflow automation, and reporting. • Any other such items as may be required to drive global AI compliance and business enablement. Global Privacy & Privacy-by-Design • Lead and execute Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and related global privacy risk assessments across Boeing business units. • Apply privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles to products, systems, and processes involving personal data, AI, and advanced analytics. • Assess data flows, processing purposes, data minimization practices, retention, security controls, and cross-border data transfers to identify and mitigate privacy risk. • Translate complex global privacy laws and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable controls and assessment guidance for business and technical teams. • Any other such items as may be required to drive global privacy compliance and business enablement. Regulatory Alignment & Compliance Enablement • Interpret and operationalize global privacy and AI regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, emerging AI regulations, and sector-specific obligations. • Support compliance initiatives related to regulatory readiness, internal audits, and external inquiries by producing assessment documentation, risk rationales, and mitigation strategies. • Contribute to the development and maintenance of privacy and AI governance standards, procedures, templates, playbooks, guardrails, and guidance materials. Cross-Functional Partnership & Enablement • Serve as a trusted subject-matter expert for privacy and AI governance matters, providing pragmatic guidance to business, engineering, and technical stakeholders. • Contribute to the development of privacy and AI governance training, enablement, and awareness materials for employees, customers, and stakeholders, including developing and leading presentations. • Collaborate closely with other governance stakeholders to ensure consistent application of governance frameworks across the enterprise. • Provides mentoring and technical leadership for privacy implementations. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • 10+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, risk management, AI governance, or a related field. • At least one advanced certification in Privacy, including IAPP certification(s) (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM). •
