Job Overview
NOTE: Candidates must reside in KS or CT for this REMOTE part-time (24 hrs.) position

A successful business is seeking a part-time, remote Human Resources professional to support all aspects of HR operations across two locations. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working with small organizations and providing hands-on HR leadership.

In this role, you will manage recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration while partnering closely with leadership to support a positive and compliant workplace. In addition, will be processing the bi-weekly payroll for ~95 employees.

Key Responsibilities

    Talent Acquisition - Recruiting & Hiring
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring coordination
  • Prepare offer and separation letters and onboarding documentation
  • Conduct background checks and employment verifications
    Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to CEO, leadership and employees
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance improvement support
  • Review and prepare written warnings and disciplinary documentation
  • Support performance management and employee development initiatives
    HR Administration & Payroll Support
  • Run payroll biweekly using Paychex
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
    General HR Support
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
  • Provide HR support tailored to business needs
  • Partner with leadership to improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness

Education:

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Management or related degree

    Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with demonstrated expertise in HR Generalist and HR leadership functions, including employee relations, performance management, and multi-state employment law compliance.
  • Experience supporting small businesses or multi-location organizations preferred
  • Experience with Paychex or similar payroll system strongly preferred
  • Strong recruiting, employee relations, and performance management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail ability to manage sensitive HR data, ensure compliance, and execute processes with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • HR Certification a plus
