Job Description
need a senior-level architect to design the complete device-to-cloud platform.
This is not a front-end job.
This is not a simple firmware job.
We need someone who can design a scalable IoT infrastructure that can grow from 500 → 5,000 → 50,000 devices
You will design the architecture for:
- Device identity & secure provisioning
- Device authentication (certificates / PKI / mutual TLS)
- OTA update strategy
- Secure device-to-cloud communication (MQTT or HTTPS)
- Edge data abstraction (feature extraction before upload)
- Cloud ingestion pipeline
- Time-series database schema
- Multi-tenant architecture (facility-level isolation)
- Real-time event engine (alert layer)
- API layer for future platform expansion
Deliverables:
- Full architecture diagram
- Data schema design
- Security design document
- Scalability roadmap
- Recommended cloud stack (AWS preferred, but open to Azure/GCP)
Required Experience
- Designed IoT platforms with 1,000+ deployed devices
- Experience with AWS IoT Core (or similar)
- Strong understanding of MQTT / secure transport
- Time-series database design (DynamoDB, InfluxDB, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Multi-tenant SaaS architecture
- OTA design experience
- Security-first mindset (secure boot, device certs, encrypted transport)
Bonus:
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
- Experience building scalable API layers
- Real-time data processing (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)
