THE OPPORTUNITY
PPS is committed to continuing its success by investing in talent and succession planning. The firm is therefore seeking an accomplished and strategic senior IP Licensing Executive to lead, structure, and execute complex global licensing programs and negotiations across flagship PPS portfolios, driving measurable revenue outcomes and shaping monetization strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting to the Founder, President & General Counsel, you will:
- Structure and execute complex IP licensing programs globally
- Manage relationships with licensing opportunities and motivate unresponsive licensing opportunities to engage in licensing negotiations;
- Develop and drive licensing strategies to optimize IP monetization, enforce IP rights, and grow revenue across multiple technology verticals relating to the Malikie portfolio and others;
- Oversee the identification and evaluation of target licensees, patents for assertion, and negotiation approaches.
- Stay informed about changes in IP law, regulations and industry trends.
This role offers direct exposure to enterprise‑level decision‑making, high visibility with senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to define market‑setting deals across some of the world’s most diverse and advanced patent portfolios.
- THE CANDIDATE
- Significant experience leading complex patent licensing and IP transactions with a demonstrable track record of high‑value deals
- Expertise in SEP licensing and/or adjacent non‑SEP technologies
- Strong command of licensing law, valuation methodologies, and deal economics
- Advanced negotiation skills with a pragmatic, business‑oriented mindset; comfortable influencing at C‑suite level
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; credible with senior internal and external stakeholders
- High standards of judgement, integrity, and interpersonal effectiveness; collaborative, proactive, and outcome‑focused
- Active presence in the IP community with a sharp eye for market and legal trends
