About the position
Join Us as a Senior Manager HR Consultant for our HR Practice Line! At Brixey & Meyer, we’re growing our HR Practice Line into new markets and we’re looking for a strategic, relationship-driven HR leader to help make it happen. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business development, high-impact HR consulting, and team leadership. You’ll play a critical role in helping organizations Find, Develop, and Keep Great People, while building market presence and driving growth for our firm.
- Responsibilities
- Launch and grow the HR Practice Line in Columbus by building relationships, generating pipeline, and converting new clients.
- Lead interim and fractional HR engagements, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR compliance advisory.
- Scope, price, and manage HR consulting projects to deliver measurable outcomes on time and on budget.
- Partner across all Brixey & Meyer practice lines to deliver integrated, client-centered solutions.
- Build and mentor a local HR team over time as revenue permits, modeling firm values and developing future leaders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, solving complex people and culture challenges with creativity and ownership.
- Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including interim/fractional HR, recruiting for key roles, and employee relations/legal compliance.
- Proven success in business development, market entry, and client growth.
- Deep expertise across HR service pillars—talent acquisition, development, engagement, and retention.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and Ohio employment law.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative leadership style balanced with accountability and ownership.
- Nice-to-haves
- HR certifications preferred: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
