About the Role We are seeking a senior-level research scientist to join our R&D team in Australia. In this role, you will: Lead and manage field trial programs to evaluate new crop protection, plant health, and biological products. Author scientific dossiers to support product registration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide product positioning and market introduction. Key Responsibilities Manage field trial research programs, including: Design protocols and collaborate with internal and external research providers Management of sample requests and regulatory permits Data analysis and scientific reporting Administrative requirements Trial data summaries and technical presentations and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Preparation and submission of biology dossiers (APVMA Part 8) for product registration. Represent R&D in cross-functional teams and contribute to business case development. Monitor product technical performance, resistance issues, and industry trends. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Build relationships with research organizations and industry stakeholders. At times may also assist with field trial execution and assessments for internal trials. Skills & Competencies BSc, MSc or PhD Degree in agricultural, biological or plant health sciences Minimum 3 years experience managing crop protection projects and preparation of biology dossiers for regulatory approval.
Strong agronomic knowledge and project leadership skills. Expertise in trial design, statistical analysis, and scientific writing. Ability to solve practical problems and maintain a strong safety culture. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Location & Travel Requirements New South Wales or Victoria Travel will be required to maintain and establish relationships with Contract Research Organizations and industry stakeholders, visit key trial sites to confirm data integrity/performance and to conduct virtual/in-person field tours.
Travel may also be required for commercial team support in attending cross functional meetings and providing technical input.
