    Job Description:
  • Perform third-party audits per SGS Certification procedures and the requirements for standards
  • Make relevant decisions concerning the audit process and inform SGS as required to resolve issues outside the audit process
  • Collect and analyze sufficient information to provide a recommendation for certification
  • Control and performance of auditing activities including planning and the control of other members of audit teams
  • Perform social compliance certification audits in conformance with the CSCA standards and ensure duties are performed efficiently
  • Remain qualified for social audits and SMETA in line with SEDEX and CSCA requirements
  • Provide determination whether registration should be recommended or allowed to continue based on evidence gained during audits
  • Assimilate, understand and operate the SGS Certification System in all auditing activities
  • Liaise with Product Managers and Technical Accreditation regarding changes to design and implementation
  • Responsible for the overall audit team, depending on the assignment
  • Control/oversee activities of teams of Auditors during the audit, as needed
  • Collaborate with teams of Auditors during auditing activities
  • Strive to provide customers with sufficient audit experience covering SGS’s Certification's accredited activities
  • Assist in training other Auditors and Senior Auditors during planned audits or training functions
  • Actively participate in witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies
  • Maintain all audit-related credentials
  • Undertake any other activities as directed by the Manager, Certification Audit CBE or Manager, Technical Accreditation CBE
    Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or food
  • APSCA auditors with minimum RA status CSCA is required
  • 5+ years’ work experience of proven management function in Food / Agri industry with minimum 2 years' work experience in code of conduct compliance assurance function or safety, environment & quality management system coordination
  • Minimum 3 years auditing experience and qualified as lead certification auditor including minimum two years as a social auditor
  • Experience in delivering training is preferable
