About the position
The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Sr. QAE) plays a crucial role in the product development life cycle, focusing on delivering high-quality software products within a fast-paced Agile environment. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers, QA engineers, and Product Managers, to enhance the Advent Portfolio Exchange solution.
Responsibilities
Β Define new feature test strategy and demonstrate deep domain expertise.

Β Design, develop, and support new and existing automation frameworks.
,
Β Maintain and troubleshoot test environments.
,
Β Monitor and enhance CI/CD pipeline processes.
,
Β Understand the solution to be tested and the underlying accounting/business/domain, and how end users interact with the solution.

Β Advocate and champion a quality mindset across teams and solutions, promoting built-in quality, testable code, automation-first, and shift-left testing.
Requirements
Β Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or other relevant majors or equivalent experience.

Β 5+ years of experience in testing and delivering high-quality applications for enterprise software environments.

Β Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum practices.
,
Β Knowledge of the complete QA release cycle and executing different types of testing.
,
Β Portfolio accounting and/or investment industry experience.
,
Β Understanding of financial instruments and their application in today's marketplace.
,
Β Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented test automation frameworks.
,
Β Experience with databases is a must.
,
Β Automated testing or relative development experience, including setting up automation frameworks and creating automation scripts.

Β Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes and scripting deployment with shell commands.
,
Β Experience writing automation scripts in JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript.
,
Β Experience with API testing platforms such as Postman or Pytest.
,
Β Experience with UI testing platforms such as Pytest or Playwright.
,
Β Experience with performance testing platforms such as Locust.io or JMeter.
