Hello Funding is a rapidly growing business funding brokerage specializing in Merchant Cash Advances and working capital solutions for small and medium-sized businesses across the United States.
Our goal is to build one of the leading funding platforms in the industry by combining strong sales teams, scalable marketing systems, and best-in-class processing and underwriting.
As our deal volume continues to grow, we are building out our Processing Department and are looking for an experienced Senior Underwriter / Head of Processing to take ownership of this critical function.
Position Overview
The Senior Underwriter / Head of Processing will be responsible for reviewing merchant applications, structuring deals, submitting files to lenders, and managing the overall processing workflow.
This role will work directly with the Founder & CEO and play a key role in building and scaling the company’s processing department.
Over time, this position will also be responsible for helping train and manage a Processor / Underwriting Assistant as the department expands.
- Key Responsibilities
- Review merchant applications and analyze bank statements, cash flow, NSFs, negative days, and balances
- Structure deals and determine the most appropriate lenders for submission
- Submit deals to lenders and manage the entire approval process
- Negotiate approvals directly with lender underwriting teams
- Maintain and develop relationships with multiple funding partners
- Build and improve internal processing systems and workflows
- Collaborate with the Founder to expand the company’s lender network
- Work closely with the sales team to move deals efficiently from application to approval
- Train and manage future processing staff or underwriting assistants
- Deal Volume Expectations
- Initially handling approximately 5–10 deals per day
- As the company scales, the role will ultimately manage approximately 15–20 deals per day
- Required Experience
- 3+ years of underwriting or deal structuring experience in the MCA / business funding industry
- Direct experience reviewing bank statements and evaluating negative days, NSFs, balances, and cash flow trends
- Experience submitting deals to multiple MCA lenders
- Strong understanding of lender matrices and deal structuring strategies
- Experience negotiating approvals with lender underwriting teams
Systems & Tools
- Candidates should be comfortable working with:
- Salesforce
- Five9
- Google Workspace
- Excel / Google Sheets
- Lender portals
- AI tools such as ChatGPT for underwriting assistance
Working Hours
Standard business hours, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday.
As a remote team operating across U.S. time zones, occasional coordination with colleagues in other time zones may be required.
Compensation
Competitive base salary based on experience.
Performance-based bonuses may be introduced as the department scales.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
