About the position
- Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with US writers, CDs, and various functional teams in Marcom and across Apple on launch and ongoing projects.
- Provide creative direction and support to an international team of writers and editors to ensure they have the necessary brand and creative information.
- Brief and review translated headlines for 40+ languages, ensuring accuracy through back translation into English.
- Work with the localization team to develop and improve tools and processes for optimizing copy localization, including machine translation.
- Requirements
- 7+ years experience in creative localization on an international level with writers and editors in a marketing communications organization.
- Direct experience in transcreating and editing headlines and copy from US English or working with creative translations.
- Nice-to-haves
- Ability to work in a multifaceted, complex creative environment.
- Exhibit excellent creative judgement and know how to ask the right questions for optimal creative solutions.
- Deep knowledge of and interest in translation and transcreation, including machine translation.
- Great collaboration and communication skills to connect effectively across different teams and functions.
- Solid understanding of interactive, retail, film & video processes.
- Excellent English-language writing skills with meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
