DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a SharePoint Technical Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC. * This position is remote; however, the selected candidate must reside in North Carolina Job Description:Will be responsible for business analysis and solution design in support of the Preconstruction business processes that are valuable to the Transportation Life Cycle. The selected candidate will take ownership of requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, QA testing, communication, and training, while working closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support throughout the process. This role requires advanced SharePoint solution design expertise, strong analytical skills, and comprehensive QA testing capabilities, including system-level, scenario-based, workflow, and edge-case validation. Candidates must be experienced in project definition, user story creation, documentation, process redesign, communication management, and quality control. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design SharePoint and web-based solutions that support Preconstruction business processes.</li><li>Translate business and design requirements into detailed, actionable user stories.</li><li>Prioritize, schedule, and deliver work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Manage communication, dependencies, and project status across assigned initiatives.</li><li>Document project and program deliverables.</li><li>Create and maintain technical reference materials for the internal team.</li><li>Collaborate with business partners to design and implement improved or reengineered processes.</li><li>Perform rigorous QA testing, including system-level, workflow, scenario-based, and edge-case validation.</li><li>Coordinate test validation and support deployment and implementation activities.</li><li>Develop and deliver end-user training and corresponding training documentation.</li><li>Prototype, refine, troubleshoot, and validate solutions with business users.</li><li>Provide senior-level quality control across technical and functional deliverables.</li><li>Mentor team members and provide subject matter expertise as needed.</li></ul> Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:<ul><li>Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise-level environments.</li><li>Proven senior-level experience designing SharePoint and web-based solutions.</li><li>Advanced expertise in SharePoint lists, libraries, content types, site structures, and web solutions.</li><li>Strong background in comprehensive QA testing, including system-level, workflow, scenario-based, and edge-case validation.</li><li>Experience designing, validating, and supporting web and workflow-based solutions.</li><li>Significant experience authoring structured, user?focused documentation—including user guides, technical reference documents, and knowledge articles—in compliance with WCAG accessibility guidelines.</li><li>Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).</li><li>Experience using Azure DevOps or similar work management tools.</li></ul> Required Skills:<ul><li>8 Years - Experience as a Business Analyst</li><li>8 Years - Extensive experience as a SharePoint Designer or SharePoint Site Owner</li><li>8 Years - Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps tool suite</li><li>8 Years - SharePoint experience designing, validating, and supporting web and workflow solutions, including custom lists, libraries, and content types</li><li>8 Years - Strong background in comprehensive QA testing, including system-level, workflow, scenario-based, and edge-case validation</li><li>8 Years - Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities</li><li>8 Years - Proven experience evaluating business processes and performing business process re-engineering</li><li>8 Years - Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight</li><li>8 Years - Positive interpersonal skills</li><li>8 Years - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and business concepts</li><li>8 Years - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)</li><li>8 Years - Strong organizational and presentation skills</li><li>8 Years - Extensive experience creating user-focused documentation (guides, technical references, and knowledge articles) aligned with WCAG standards</li><li>8 Years - Working knowledge of Agile and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)</li></ul> Desired Skills:<ul><li>3 Years - Working knowledge of NCDOT’s Preconstruction business process</li><li>3 Years - Understanding of NCDOT’s Transportation Life Cycle business process</li><li>3 Years - Experience with Balsamiq Wireframes</li><li>3 Years - Experience with Power BI and Power Applications</li><li>3 Years - Experience working in ServiceNow</li><li>3 Years - Experience working with Microsoft Copilot agents</li></ul> This position is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
