Job Description
I run a neuroscience-based mental health brand and need a reliable video editor for short-form content (30-90 seconds). This is ongoing work, not a one-time project.
What you'll edit:
YouTube Shorts (30-60 sec, talk-to-camera with captions)
Instagram Reels (30-90 sec, talk-to-camera with B-roll inserts)
Occasional YouTube long-form (8-12 min, biweekly)
What I provide:
Raw footage (talk-to-camera, good lighting, clean audio)
Script or transcript
Brand guidelines (fonts, colors, logo placement)
What I need from you:
Jump cuts for pacing (remove pauses, filler words)
Captions (bold, readable, centered — no auto-generated junk)
Light color correction
B-roll insertion when provided
Thumbnail frame selection (for Shorts)
Music bed when appropriate
Export in 9:16 vertical format
Requirements:
Portfolio with short-form editing samples (must show caption work)
Turnaround: 24-48 hours per video
Communication in English
CapCut, Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve
Budget: $15-25 per Short/Reel, $40-60 per long-form video. Start with a paid test video.
