Job Description
You're not here to manage social media accounts. You're here to architect them.
Most education companies publish risk-averse, glossy content that communicates little of substance. Your objective is to create a digital presence that causes driven parents to pause their feed and recognize: This stands apart. Your focus is on generating qualified inbound interest, not accumulating hollow metrics.
gt.school is an AI-driven Kβ8 program designed for gifted and talented students. Learners complete core academics in two hours, then dedicate remaining time to advanced coursework and practical skill development. The results are measurable. The value proposition is distinct. What's required now is a social media presence that builds trust at volume and converts authority into demand.
You will control the full cycle. Uncover the narrative. Define the positioning. Execute the content. Distribute. Interact. Refine. There is no legacy framework and no established channel blueprint. You will design the infrastructure and elevate the benchmark.
If you seek independence, a rigorous creative standard, and a direct connection between your output and qualified parent inquiries, this position provides that control.
- What You Will Be Doing
- Establishing gt.school's owned social media footprint from the ground up with a systematic publishing rhythm aligned to inbound parent engagement
- Developing platform-native narratives that showcase authentic student results, parent decision drivers, and founder insight without appearing rehearsed or sales-driven
- Managing complete execution: concept development, scripting, production, distribution, audience interaction, and continuous refinement across key platforms
- Executing controlled tests to enhance reach, engagement quality, and intent signals, leveraging performance analytics to inform strategy
- Responding personally to comments and direct messages to build trust, demonstrate accessibility, and cultivate community
- What You Wonβt Be Doing
- Publishing placeholder content simply to maintain visibility or uphold a corporate image
- Taking over a well-developed channel strategy complete with guidelines and existing templates
- Chasing superficial metrics that bear no relation to qualified parent interest
- Executing isolated campaigns lacking genuine evidence and sustainable storytelling
Social Media Growth Manager Key Responsibilities
Establish gt.school's social authority from inception so that qualified, ambitious parents routinely discover, trust, and interact with the brand.
- Basic Requirements
- Successfully launched and scaled at least one social channel from 0 to 10,000+ followers (or comparable engagement growth) in 12 months; direct experience managing at least two platforms among: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X/Twitter.
- 2+ years managing the complete social content process end-to-end, with 3+ documented examples of deliverables and outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to apply performance data (views, watch time, CTR, engagement) to produce quantifiable strategic adjustments.
- 1+ year operating in a startup, agency, or unstructured setting where objectives evolved during execution.
- Nice-to-have Requirements
- Proven track record growing multiple social channels past initial momentum while preserving a unified, distinctive brand voice
- Experience developing education-related or parent-targeted brands where credibility and evidence outweigh promotional tactics
- Capability in interview facilitation or on-camera coaching to draw out persuasive narratives from students, parents, and founders
