Job Description

I’m an experienced Airbnb host building a thoughtful, long-term social media presence for my Hawaii-based hosting and co-hosting business. This account serves two audiences: Guests – Hawaii travel tips, Waikiki insights, and what makes a great hosting experience Property owners – professionalism, systems, guest experience, and co-host credibility This is not an influencer or trend-driven account. The goal is trust, consistency, and clarity. I’m looking for a social media manager who understands hospitality, judgment, and brand stewardship, and who can collaborate effectively with AI-assisted workflows. Core Responsibilities - Create and manage a monthly content calendar (approval required before posting) - Publish 3–5 posts per week (Instagram primary; Facebook secondary) - Draft captions using AI-assisted tools and refine them to match brand voice - Suggest content ideas, hooks, and formats (final approval required before publishing) - Moderate comments with discretion and professionalism - Track basic performance metrics and suggest improvements Visual Content Support I will not be regularly capturing original photo or video content, and this role should not depend on my physical presence in Hawaii. You will: - Source high-quality, royalty-free visuals (stock or UGC-style) suitable for Hawaii travel and hospitality - Curate visuals that feel authentic and non-generic (avoid obvious stock imagery) - Organize visual assets into a structured content library - Integrate occasional photo or video content provided by me or local contacts when available - Maintain visual consistency across posts (color, tone, framing, pacing) Advanced photography or videography is not required, but strong visual judgment is essential. Content & Approval Guidelines - You may suggest content ideas and formats - You may not publish new content or messaging without approval - All posts, captions, and replies must follow established brand voice guidelines This role prioritizes clarity, warmth, and trust over trends or engagement bait Comment Moderation & Community Care You will: - Monitor comments regularly - Hide or delete spam, trolling, or unhelpful negativity - Respond to neutral or positive comments using approved guidelines - Track and summarize recurring or constructive criticism for periodic review - Flag only high-risk issues (safety concerns, legal issues, misinformation, or repeated complaints) This role requires discretion and judgment; not every comment requires engagement or escalation. Who This Role Is For - You have experience with hospitality, travel, Airbnb, or real estate-related content - You understand how to build trust through tone and consistency - You are comfortable working with AI-assisted drafts and refining them thoughtfully - You are organized, detail-oriented, and calm in public-facing communication To Apply (Required) Please include: - A brief explanation of your experience with hospitality or travel-related content - 2–3 examples of social accounts or posts you’ve managed - A short sample caption (3–5 sentences) for a Hawaii travel tip post, written in a calm, helpful host tone (not influencer-style) - A brief explanation of how you typically handle negative or critical comments - Your availability and preferred monthly rate Applications that do not include the sample caption will not be considered.
