The Client Arrangements Designing group at Disney offers functional support for our company's group of consumer-facing digital products. As a Software Engineer, you will provide technical support for our back-end platforms, triage product issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java and other programming languages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Provide technical support for back-end platforms and troubleshoot issues
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our software development processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our products and services
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Java
- Strong programming fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
- Experience with software development lifecycle, including unit testing, code reviews, and documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with open-source frameworks and tools, such as Spring and GitHub
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Docker
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and distributed systems
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
