Workd is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI or remotely!
The intermediate-level Software Engineer's focus is to implement solutions with a team of other engineers, UI/UX engineers, business analysts, and quality analysts. We provide training on our specific platform and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
ย Work with an Agile/Scrum team to develop, test and deploy Workd business applications
ย Assist with Junior Software Engineer onboarding
ย Provide mentorship to Junior Software Engineers
ย Collaborate with Agile/Scrum team to plan solution architecture
ย Divide user stories into tasks
ย Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
ย Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
ย Demo solutions when requested
ย Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on-budget that meet all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility
ย Provide third-level support to business users
ย Keep Scrum board up to date
ย Accurately record time according to established company standards
ย Participate in Agile project meetings
ย Complete an annual Self Review as part of the Performance Appraisal and Employee Development Process
Requirements
ย 3+ years of experience developing enterprise grade software systems
ย Competent critical thinking, debugging/problem identification/resolution skills
ย Competent capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask
ย Competent time-management, interpersonal and collaboration skills
ย Competent verbal and written communication skills
ย Advanced Beginner mentoring skills
ย Competent understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes
ย Competent ability to apply object-oriented programming concepts
ย Competent familiarity with the requirements and terminology of one or more business applications
ย Competent in JavaScript (Typescript preferred)
ย Competent in Node.js
ย Competent in HTML (pug/jade preferred)
ย Competent in CSS (SCSS preferred)
ย Competent ability to apply Angular/Typescript skills
ย Competent ability to manage version/source control via GIT
ย Competent ability to use Integrated Development Environment to work faster
ย Competent understanding of development cycle scenarios
ย Bachelorยs degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, Code Camp attendance, or equivalent work experience
