Position Overview
Premiere Digital is seeking a highly technical and media-savvy Solution Architect – Cloud & Hybrid Workflows to design, optimize, and scale next-generation media processing workflows across on-premise facilities and cloud infrastructure.
This role will work at the intersection of Engineering, DevOps, Operations, and Client Onboarding to architect robust, scalable, and intelligent media workflows that support large-scale content libraries, archive modernization, AI-driven metadata systems, and distributed processing environments.
The ideal candidate understands both media supply chains and cloud-native architecture, and can translate complex operational needs into scalable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Architecture & Design
- Architect end-to-end media workflows across hybrid environments (on-prem, private infrastructure, and AWS cloud)
- Design scalable pipelines for ingest, QC, transcode, packaging, archive, and distribution
- Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to implement resilient, automated workflow orchestration
- Optimize media processing workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability
- Define best practices for hybrid storage tiers (Isilon, S3, Glacier, archive systems, etc.)
- Platform Expansion
- Partner with development teams to expand functionality of internal platforms
- Support architecture for large-scale asset libraries
- Provide technical guidance on API integrations, automation tooling, and workflow extensibility
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with DevOps, Software Engineering, and Infrastructure teams on deployment strategies
- Support Operations and Onboarding teams in designing client-specific workflow solutions
- Act as the technical bridge between business requirements and engineering implementation
- Participate in client onboarding for complex media workflow deployments
- Hybrid Infrastructure & Cloud Strategy
- Architect hybrid compute models leveraging on-prem processing and cloud burst scaling
- Design secure, high-performance workflows across multi-region cloud environments
- Support containerized and microservices-based workflow deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Guide cloud cost optimization strategies for media processing workloads
- Operational Enablement & Support
- Provide Tier 3 technical guidance for complex workflow and pipeline issues
- Develop documentation, architectural diagrams, and workflow standards
- Assist in troubleshooting workflow bottlenecks and pipeline failures
- Continuously improve operational efficiency through automation and intelligent workflow design
- Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Media Engineering, or Cloud Workflow Design
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and hybrid infrastructure models
- Deep understanding of media processing workflows (transcoding, QC, packaging, delivery, archives)
- Experience working with DevOps and software development teams in production environments
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools, APIs, and automation frameworks
- Strong knowledge of storage systems (S3, NAS, object storage, archive tiers)
- Experience designing scalable, high-throughput data and media pipelines
- Preferred Qualifications (Highly Valued at Premiere Digital)
- Experience in Media & Entertainment, Post-Production, or Digital Distribution
- Familiarity with large-scale asset management systems and MAM integrations
- Experience with AI/ML-driven media analysis or metadata workflows
- Understanding of archive modernization and legacy media migration workflows
