**Description:**


As a Flight Attendant at Southwest Airlines, you’ll ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our passengers while exemplifying our brand of warmth, hospitality, and operational excellence. This role requires adaptability, teamwork, and exceptional communication skills, as you’ll be responsible for briefing passengers on safety, assisting in emergencies, and providing a welcoming environment throughout all phases of flight.


**Responsibilities:**


– Perform pre-flight cabin checks and ensure all safety equipment is ready and operational.


– Greet passengers warmly and assist with boarding, including helping with carry-on luggage.


– Deliver in-flight announcements and ensure compliance with all safety procedures.


– Serve beverages, snacks, and meals where applicable.


– Address any passenger concerns with empathy and professionalism.


– Manage and deescalate in-flight disturbances calmly and effectively.


– Administer and coordinate emergency procedures or provide first aid as needed.


– Complete post-flight duties and prepare for the next flight’s needs.


**Requirements:**


– Must be at least 21 years of age.


– High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary degrees or certificates in hospitality, communication, or tourism are a plus.


– Ability to reach overhead bins and stand for long periods.


– Proficiency in English; bilingual skills a plus.


– Must possess a valid passport and be legally authorized to work in the United States.


– Able to relocate to or commute to assigned base location.


– Must pass a rigorous background check and drug screening.


– Flight experience not required; however, customer service experience is highly desired.


**Educational Qualifications:**


High school diploma or GED is required. Further educational background in hospitality, tourism, or communication can be an advantage.


**Experience:**


Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. Training provided upon hiring.
