About the position We're Hiring: SOX Compliance Analyst (Contract-to-Hire) - Hybrid (Memphis, TN)
Our Corporate Client is currently seeking a SOX Compliance Analyst for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity in the Memphis, TN area. This position offers the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance. Responsibilities • Maintain documentation of internal controls for financial accounting and reporting processes.
• Assist with preparation of quarterly/annual SOX risk assessments, certifications, and documentation. • Coordinate with Business Owners and Control Owners to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are effectively designed and sufficiently documented. • Assist with business process walkthroughs and document business process narratives and/or flow. • Manage control change requests, ensuring proper approvals, assignments, and timely updates. • Proactively identify emerging business and technical risks, issues, and developments for timely action and incorporation into the SOX compliance program documentation.
• Assist in training Business Owners and Control Owners regarding internal controls and SOX compliance. • Participate in special projects and other duties as needed. Requirements • CPA (Active or Inactive) or Previous Public Accounting Experience Required • Knowledge of COSO 2013 • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting processes • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Nice-to-haves • TeamMate • SAI • Oracle • Lucid Chart • Power BI Benefits • Opportunity for full-time conversion:
