Job Title: SQL DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote
- Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the team’s transition toward improved Agile-based delivery practices
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and user story discussions
- Develop and execute unit tests for assigned work items
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and recommend technical solutions
- Support projects involving database deployment scripting and release execution
- Create and execute pre-deployment and post-deployment scripts
- Package, deploy, and release SQL code changes across environments
- Take full ownership of assigned user stories after onboarding
- Identify and recommend continuous improvements to deployment workflows and DevOps processes
- Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in SQL Engineering with DevOps responsibilities
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL development and database change management
- Proven experience with:
- Deployment scripting
- Post-deployment scripting
- Packaging and releasing database/code changes
- Ability to work closely with business teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables
- Experience working in a hybrid Agile / Waterfall environment
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently after initial ramp-up
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a fully Agile (end-to-end) development environment
- Prior exposure to healthcare payer systems or related healthcare domains
- Familiarity with Agile ceremonies and story-driven development workflows
