Job Description
As our Senior Insurance Licensing Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our agents and advisors are properly licensed and compliant with all state and federal regulations. You will lead a team of licensing managers seeing the entire licensing process from initial application to renewal. You will be a trusted advisor to leadership, and internal and external stakeholders and provide... strategic direction and insights on licensing trends and best practices.
Responsibilities
Ā Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the licensing department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of all licensing applications and renewals.
Ā Monitor and recommend policies and procedures for insurance licensing in coordination with the licensing team and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Ā Maintain a deep understanding of state and federal licensing requirements for all lines of authority offered by the company.
Ā Lead and mentor a team of licensing managers providing training and development opportunities.
Ā Analyze licensing data and identify trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Ā Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, compliance, and legal teams.
Ā Proactively identify and address potential licensing issues, developing mitigation strategies.
Ā Stay abreast of changes in licensing laws and regulations and communicate updates to the team.
Ā Conduct regular audits and prepare reports and presentations on licensing activity and compliance status for executive leaders.
Ā Support a culture of professionalism, integrity and respect to team members, agents, adjusters, and internal and external stakeholders.
Ā Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ā Bachelor's degree in insurance, business or related field.
Ā 7+ years of experience in insurance licensing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Ā SILA-A designation required or will complete the necessary course work within 6 months of hire.
Ā Proven track record of success in managing and motivating teams and directing culture.
Ā In-depth knowledge of state and federal insurance licensing requirements.
Ā Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ā Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ā Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Ā Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ā Must pass mandatory background checks which may include pre-screenings, illegal drug tests and credit checks
