About the position We are seeking a
Senior Investment Analyst to join our Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) Design team. This role will support the development and refinement of long-term asset allocation strategies across portfolios, ensuring alignment with liability profiles, risk appetite, and return objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate across investment, corporate development, actuarial, and risk teams to shape the investment strategy for the enterprise. Responsibilities β’ Scope of $45b+ of general account assets: Include legal entities in US, Bermuda and Cayman β’ Maintain and enhance the SAA framework, incorporating capital market assumptions, liability characteristics, and enterprise risk constraints.
β’ Support the design of strategic portfolios using quantitative tools and scenario analysis to evaluate trade-offs between risk, return, and capital efficiency. β’ Support new business activity by contributing to the investment strategy design and the onboarding of new mandates. β’ Develop and maintain tools, dashboards, and models that support SAA design and monitoring, leveraging investment analytics and market data. β’ Collaborate with the Investments, Corporate Development, ERM, and Actuarial teams to ensure that Strategic Asset Allocations are effectively designed and accurately incorporate capital market assumptions, liability characteristics, and enterprise objectives.
β’ Assist in preparing materials for investment committees and senior leadership, articulating SAA rationale and relevant insights. Requirements β’ 3-7 years of experience supporting investment or actuarial areas, progression towards CFA and/or ASA/FSA designation preferred. β’ Strong skills in Excel/Word/PowerPoint, and investment modelling tools; experience in Python/R/other coding languages a plus. β’ Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an understanding of portfolio theory, capital markets, insurance products and risk modeling.
β’ Strong general and technical communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial and mathematical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders. β’ Demonstrated creativity and excellent problem-solving abilities in analytical environments. β’ Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team setting.
