Job Description
WilmerHale is a leading, full-service international law firm with 1,000 lawyers located throughout the United States and Europe. The Staff Assistant will work efficiently and collaboratively to assist with all phases of Congressional and regulatory investigations, as well as the day-to-day operations of the investigations group.
Responsibilities
- Assists with document collection, production, organization and management
- Assists with the maintenance and manipulation of document databases for purposes of facilitating productions, preparing for depositions, hearings and other proceedings
- Assists with routine preparations for witness interviews, including the assembly of witness files and reference binders
- Assists with production of daily press clips for a portfolio of clients and/or topics
- Assists with planning and executing hearing preparation events, such as meetings and mock hearings
- Supports senior staff with background research, tracking upcoming hearings, and other responsibilities as needed
- Monitors congressional hearings upon request and prepares summaries as needed
- Assists with updating indices, chronologies, logs and tracking systems
- Assists with establishing logistical support and set up of remote offices to accommodate the needs of the case team for purposes of hearing preparation
- Assists with client service and associated client meeting tasks, including greeting and interacting with the client
- Assists with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, printing and organization of documents and information
- Assists with preparation of presentations and graphics for client meetings and client development opportunities
- Attends and participates in training programs for professional development and building technology skills
- Adheres to best practices for daily time entry for client billable work and eTime for attendance and time off requests
- Contributes to the Firm's Service Excellence initiative to consistently improve its image internally and externally
- Displays professionalism, quality service and a 'can do' attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone and in-person
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned

- 1+ year of legislative affairs, lobbying, and law firm experience, preferred
- BA/BS required
