About the position As a Staff Product Manager focused on our Data Platform, you'll play a crucial role in shaping, prioritizing, and delivering data initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives. Your work will directly empower analytics engineers, data scientists, and analysts by providing reliable, scalable data products and services. You'll apply a product-oriented approach to scope, understand, and prioritize development across: Data Collection, Orchestration, and Transformation, Data Storage, Data Governance & Privacy, Data Observability, Data Reliability, Usage & Performance Insights, Machine Learning, Data APIs.

You will report directly to the VP of Product Management. This is a hybrid role working from our NYC headquarters 2-3 days per week. Responsibilities • Own the product roadmap for the Data Platform team, balancing technical feasibility, user impact, and business goals. • Define and communicate a clear, compelling vision and strategy for the data platform, aligning closely with Squarespace's broader strategic objectives. • Lead user discovery and market research to deeply understand current and future user needs, translating insights into actionable roadmaps.

• Prioritize and oversee data integration projects, ensuring they meet accuracy, latency, and availability service-level objectives (SLOs). • Partner closely with analytics product managers and technical teams to champion data quality, reliability, and best practices across Squarespace. • Clearly articulate strategy, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders across the company, ensuring alignment and buy-in. Requirements • 8+ years of product management or technical leadership experience, ideally in data-intensive environments.

• Deep expertise in data systems architecture, microservices, and infrastructure design, with the capability to engage in technical decisions. • Demonstrated ability in end-to-end system design, including knowledge of component-based architectures, data storage solutions, and integration methods. • Experience with data modeling, database design, and data warehousing, including familiarity with large-scale data model improvements. • Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns to enable seamless interoperability.

• Bachelor's degree required; MS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline is preferred.
