ATCS is looking for a qualified Bridge Engineer to join their Structural Engineering practice. The role involves performing analysis, design, and documentation of various transportation structures, with a focus on bridges and related structures. Responsibilities Complete design tasks with supervision; Coordinate the structural design with other disciplines and construction team Compile data and perform calculations required for the preparation of drawings and design studies Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget and schedules Prepare bolthires estimates Prepare construction documents Conduct bridge inspections and assist in supervision of site investigations as needed Skills Bachelor's Degree Civil and Structural Engineering from ABET accredited engineering program 0 to 5+ years of experience EIT certification required Experience with VDOT, PennDOT or MDOT (SHA-MdTA) projects desirable Proficient with Microstation and/or Open Bridge Designer Availability and willingness to travel Ability to work independently and as part of a project team Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate with others to explore alternative solutions Comfortable performing in an environment that requires independent evaluation, judgment and decision making Master's degree in Structural Engineering highly desired Benefits Generous personal PTO Inclusive holiday PTO Community involvement PTO Highly customizable medical plan options Excellent dental & vision plans 401K match up to 3% with immediate vesting Parental leave STD & LTD Tuition reimbursement Employee assistance program Company Overview ATCS is a leading engineering consulting firm offering comprehensive solutions across a wide range of fields, including transportation, traffic planning, environmental planning, geospatial, site civil, bridges and structures, rail and transit, buildings and facilities, air and noise, project controls, water resources, and emergency management services.
