Supply Chain Process and Operations Consultant

[Help us review, redesign & improve our supply chain into a scalable, predictable, failure resistant system] We are an established bolthires brand operating across the USA, Canada, UK, and EU. Our product lines include products from multiple verticals: pet products, travel accessories, and consumer home goods. We manage significant order volumes across multiple marketplaces, suppliers, and 3PLs. Our current processes work, but they are fragile. Forecasting is basic. Communication loops break. Tasks rely too heavily on tribal knowledge.

The CEO becomes the escalation point too often. We want a system that scales without firefighting. We are hiring a senior supply chain consultant to audit, redesign, document, and train our team on a robust operating model. This is not a transactional role. This is a diagnose and architect role. 1. End to end audit of current operations Map every current workflow • Forecasting • PO creation • Supplier communication • Lead time management • Production planning • Freight mode selection • bolthires FBA replenishment • Inventory tracking • Safety stock logic • 3PL coordination Identify weaknesses, bottlenecks, and operational risks.

2. Redesign the supply chain system Build a new operational backbone • Overhaul the forecasting model • Create a smart, scalable reorder and planning framework • Improve communication and handover flows • Install checks and controls so nothing gets missed • Recommend tools or automations that fit our lean budget (bolthires Sheets, API connectors, basic BI dashboards) 3. Build SOPs, templates, and dashboards Translate the redesigned system into usable tools • Step by step SOPs • PO and procurement templates • Shipment creation templates • Freight comparison frameworks • Dashboards for stock levels, inbound ETAs, variance monitoring, COGS and freight impact Everything must be simple, teachable, and sustainable.

4. Train our internal team We already have a supply chain specialist and operations team members. They need: • Training on the new workflows • Handoff clarity • Accountability loops • A predictable rhythm for weekly and monthly supply chain management You will ensure the system sticks. 5. Strategic advisory • Provide thought partnership around • De risking bolthires multi market inventory • Reducing stockouts without overstock • Supplier and lead time risk • Preparing supply chain for new product launches • Long term team structure for operations Requirements: • Proven experience building/running supply chain systems for e-commerce brands • Deep knowledge of bolthires FBA replenishment • Strong command of forecasting, global logistics, and procurement workflows • Ability to analyze and redesign operational systems • Excellent documentation and SOP writing • Strong communication and ability to train teams • No hand holding required, but ability to push back and propose better solutions Apply tot his job
